Mrs. Roe
Welcome to 3rd grade! I am Mrs. Roe and I am thrilled to be one of your teachers this year. I graduated from Central College and received my Master’s Degree from Morningside College. This is my fourteenth year of teaching, and my fourth year at Osky Elementary. I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades! I am looking forward to learning all about you and watching you grow as a learner this year.
I live in Fremont with my husband, Jed, and our two children. Easton is six and Emerson will be four in November. We enjoy playing outside, going on walks, fishing, reading books, and playing. My hobbies include reading, trying out new things from Pinterest, selling Longaberger baskets, and shopping. I am a huge fan of the Iowa State Fair. I have never missed a year of the fair and my family and I have been camping there for years! I also enjoy cheering for the St.Louis Cardinals and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Mrs. Kelly
We are so excited that you are in our 3rd grade class! It is going to be a great school year. I am Mrs. Kelly and I am very glad that I have the opportunity to be one of your teachers this year. I am a graduate from William Penn University and this is my third year of teaching at Oskaloosa Elementary. I love teaching because I get to meet so many wonderful students and we are able to discover, imagine and learn together in the classroom.
I live in University Park with my husband, Stephen, our two dogs, Layla and Marley, and our newest addition, Judah. Judah Gabriel, our son, was born on July 14th. He is growing like crazy and eats all the time! I will be spending the next 7 weeks at home with our new baby. I am so excited to meet all of you in October when I return! In the meantime, I will try to send lots of pictures of Judah for Mrs. Roe to share with the class.
I love to spend time outdoors, whether that is with my family on their farm, working in my garden, planting flowers, biking on the bike trail, camping, or taking walks with Judah and my dogs. My other passion, besides teaching and being a new mom, is baking. I love experimenting in my kitchen and coming up with new recipes.
